Tuesday, November 1, 2016

Cocktails & hors d’oeuvres ~ 6 pm
Award ceremony ~ 7:30 pm
Dinner by Le Chéri ~ 8 pm

The Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Art Alliance invites you to join them on November 1, 2016, as the PAA celebrates its 101st year on Rittenhouse Square, serving the arts and artists in Philadelphia and beyond. We are particularly pleased to honor two Philadelphians whose work as civic and cultural leaders has made a difference for artists and cultural institutions across the city.

Elisabeth R. Agro is the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Nancy M. McNeil Associate Curator of American Modern and Contemporary Crafts and Decorative Arts. For the past decade, she has been an advocate, scholar, scout, steward and leader in her field, and a vital resource to artists and curatorial colleagues, both in Philadelphia and the larger world of craft. She sets a standard for professional practice in the arts–one for all of us to emulate.

Betsy Hummel is President of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square. Providing dynamic and strategic leadership with unflagging tenacity, Betsy transformed the organization and inspired the Rittenhouse community to become stewards of civic projects. What she has been able to accomplish underscores the transformative power of vision when combined with passion and determination.

Join us on November 1 to honor Betsy and Elisabeth, and enjoy a meal by chef Pierre Calmels of Le Chéri, along with our new fall exhibition and a special auction!

Tickets for this special event start at $500. If you would like to join us, please contact Thora Jacobson, Executive Director, at or call us at 215-545-4302.
